Arelys Henao (born 3 December 1976) is a Colombian singer and songwriter of Colombian popular music from Sabanalarga. Her musical history encouraged Caracol Television to produce a biographical musical telenovela called Arelys Henao: I canto not cry.

Henao made a significant contribution to pop and ranchera music. She is famous for her albums titled Por la Puerta grande in 2004, Unica in 2011, Reina sin Rey and Mujeres y despecho in 2015. Arelys has also shared the stage with Mexican singer, Ana Gabriel.

Her full name is Luz Arelys Henao Ruiz and she likes to celebrate her birthday on the 3rd of December every year with her family and friends. She recorded the song La Reina y el Rey with Dario Gomez in 2015.

On February 23, 2018, Henao was part of the list of artists that attended the Teleton Colombia 2018 campaign. Till now, Arelys has achieved four nominations for the Nuestra Tierra Awards for best female performance and best female artist.
